SurveyMonkey Donates $10,000 to SAFER

NEW ORLEANS, LA: April 21, 2008

SurveyMonkey, a software company that allows users to create online surveys, donated $10,000 to Student Advocacy for Equitable Recovery (SAFER) last week. SurveyMonkey also recently donated a subscription to its online services that will allow SAFER to create and analyze unlimited volunteer surveys. Founded by two Tulane University students in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, SAFER is a group that coordinates student volunteers from around the country to rebuild New Orleans homes. The non-profit’s current staff of seven full-time volunteers has led over 1,500 individual volunteers in recovery efforts throughout New Orleans, clearing flood debris from over 90 homes and rebuilding 15 additional homes.
